The girls

We have 6 pullets. They are about 19-20 weeks old. They will start laying eggs any day now! I’m checking every day to see if today is the day!

Here is LucyandEthel. We have two Light Bhramas, but they look the same. I suppose we could *try* to tell them apart, but we don’t. We just call them LucyandEthel.

This is our sweet Auracana cross-beak. She is the smallest chicken we have. You can see how out of line her beak in these photos. Her name is Lola. Lola is Delaney’s favorite chicken! Both she and Colin talk to Lola often. I often take Lola a “special” meal of oatmeal mixed with chicken feed. She spends most of the day eating, but has a hard time getting anything into her mouth. Poor girl.

Here are a few more photos. The black and gold Wyndottes are Liriope and Caliope. Chris swears that he and Delaney can tell these girls apart, but I choose to just call them each Liriope or Calipe, depending on my mood.
