Good music for YOU (and your kids!)

I am totally in love with Justin Roberts. He sings these great songs that are beyond “Row Row Row your Boat” and “The Wheels on the Bus.” And the lyrics are HYSTERICAL! My two favorite songs are “My Brother Did It” and “Meltdown.” You can listen for yourself here. I mean, just listen to this…

“Mama wants to know who ate that chocolate cake
Right out of the fridge, didn’t leave a little smidge
Daddy wants to know who colored crayons on the wall
Isn’t that a shame signed my sister’s name
Well, I wasn’t there at the time
Far from the scene of the crime
And I would be the first one to admit it….

My brother did it, he did it
He did a did a did a did it
He did it, he did it
He did a did a did a da
Well, it couldn’t have been me
cause my heart just wasn’t in it
No, he did it, he did it
He did a did a did a da”

Oh, and “Meltdown”

Brother and me were in the living room
Busy coloring chairs that we lay on
No signs of gloom, a quiet affair
That is until I borrowed his crayon
I cannot lie it’s the one he loves the best and
I don’t know why I put him to the test
But I had no idea he’d get this distressed
Now he’s having a meltdown
Didn’t know that he felt down
A m-m-m-m-m meltdown”

Chris and I both find ourselves laughing out loud while singing along. Oh, and we’ve decided that the kids won’t be allowed to listen to this for much longer lest they start to get some bad ideas!

I wonder if he’d do a co-op…
