“She’s Dead”

I posted back in October about our cat, Bubba, passing away.  The children were here, and we were very open with Delaney about the fact that Bubba died.  We told her he had a sickness thatWe put him in a box and took him to the vet to be cremated.  We did not tell her all this as we didn’t think she’d be able to handle it.

Today Delaney was playing with one of her little plush dolls (her “Who” doll, AKA her “Pooh” doll).  She put her in a plastic box, put the lid on it, and told me, “She’s dead.”

Ahh!  What do I do?  What do I say?  I’m just letting her play through it, hoping she’ll get it out of her system.  I’m at a loss…
