I’m odd? Really…
I was randomly tagged by another blogger to post seven of my oddities. Woo hoo! Fun, fun…this will be easy… These would be the reasons that other (read: mainstream) people think I’m odd, but reasons I, myself, think I’m totally normal.
- I cloth diaper. What kind of rational individual doesn’t just toss poop from a diaper into the garbage pail, but instead saves it, dumps it in the pot, then saves the skid-marked diaper until wash day? That would be me.
- I breastfed my daughter for 2 years, 10 months, and for 15 of those months, also breastfed my son. Now the WHO wouldn’t find that odd, nor would most non-industrialized cultures, but for some reason, I’m a major weird-o for nursing my kid that long.
- I have chickens in my backyard, but I live in a metropolitan area. Yes, I live in a neighborhood with city-maintained streets, water and garbage pick up; we have side walks and cul-de-sacs. And yes, we also have 6 chickens living in our little 1/4 acre back yard.
- I’m not crazy about chocolate. The darker it is, the less I like it. In fact, I’d turn down a piece of dark chocolate for a nice vanilla milkshake.
- I’ve never been a bride’s maid.
- I don’t let my kids drink soda (but they do like coffee). I don’t understand the point of giving soda to a 3 year old!
- I enjoy doing laundry…sad, but true. I like the monotony and the very visual results of laundering, folding and putting it away.
Here are the rules:
1- Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
2- Share 7 random and or weird things about yourself.
3- Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
4- Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

I cloth diapered the girlie, and tried to do it for the boy, but literally, he cried every time there was even a drop of pee in there, and he also cried anytime we tried to change him, actually he cried for about 5 months, but he cried less in ’sposies so we said good-bye to our best intentions, and hello to our sanity. Good for you for sticking with it!

I think I tagged you for this one as well ;).
YAY for breastfeeding past 12mths. It is all to rare that people do. I am still feeding Amy and she is 14mths, only I can’t see her being happy to give up the boob any time soon.
If I get pregnant soon, I think I will continue to Bf her, at least until she is ready to give it up herself.

This is how out of sync with the Universe I am, I’m just finally getting to this meme. But not today. I just remembered, don’t want to rush into anything
