Because Colin was sick…
Delaney and I made shapes and beads with salt dough and cooked them until hard. Then tonight she had a blast paining them! I think we’ll string them on something and give them as holiday gifts to the grandmothers. Delaney is like a junkie - the more time she spends alone with a parent, the more she craves the attention; she’s always looking for the next fix! We started playing with play-doh and salt dough while Colin was sleeping. We did this activity together for almost an hour! I did this specifically because I knew Colin was sick and would need my attention later. But she was relentless! I swear, we need to get “hold me” tattooed to that child’s forehead!
Note the painted hand. That was equally as fun when she ran out of beads.

They’re pretty cool. I can’t wait for Amy to be big enough to do arts and crafts. But then, it was just a short time ago that I was wishing she would walk.

Yes, it is so much fun! Her attention span is so wishy washy that I never know how long she’ll actually *do* an activity. But playing with dough is A LOT of fun, and painting is a close second.
Although three is the worst age so far! No one tells you that 3 is hell, but I will…3 is HELL! You thought one was hard, and two was challenging…they don’t hold a candle to 3…
