Brain Puke

Here it is…a huge deluge of all the funny, sarcastic and annoying things that the kids are doing late.

~ Delaney has started calling everyone in the house “[name] Maryn,” which is her middle name. So if Zoey is doing something Delaney isn’t fond of, she’ll yell “ZOEY MARYN.” If Colin is ticking her off, it’s “COLIN MARYN!” Talk about your words coming out of their mouths!

~ Colin has started saying “Thanks!” So cute! Especially when he says, “Thanks, Laney” if she does something nice for him.

~ Delaney has a total and complete aversion to cleaning up after herself. Tonight, for example - she dumped out her entire box of MegaBloks (like 250 pieces) and refused to pick them up. We told her they were going to go away if she didn’t help. She didn’t care. So Chris and I picked them up and they are in the attic. I didn’t want to do this, but this is getting out of hand. She will dump every puzzle onto the floor, then just walk away. She totally ignores us when we ask her to pick up - with our help, of course. The pisser? When the toys are gone because of HER inactivity, COLIN suffers! He likes to play with the blocks, too!

~ Colin is going through a “breast” phase. Every time I pick him up, he places his hand on my breast - on the outside of my shirt, mind you. It is SO ANNOYING! It’s like he has to make sure his “milks” are still there…ugh!

~ I have discovered the beauty of a steam mop. And so has Chris - I’ve converted him. Over the holidays while Colin was sick, he decided getting up at 5:30 a.m. was a good idea. There is NOTHING except infomercials on TV at that hour, so we watched a 30 minute infomercial for the H2O mop. I didn’t even know such a product existed! Well, hello Google. Found out that there are many different brands of steam mop out there, and thanks to Amazon, I able to find reviews AND the products all in one place. I settled on the SteamFast multi steamer and it is AWESOME! I am so in love with this thing - you totally need one.

~ My children won’t eat eggs. Delaney is boycotting them seriously these days, period! Why do I care? Because the girls are laying 4-5 eggs per day - of the kids won’t eat them, what are we going to do with them? Breakfast for dinner is a weekly occurrence around here. Tonight I threw a little spinach in the eggs and topped with cheese. I thought it was yummy. Colin thought it was OK. Delaney didn’t think much about it at all…except for the cheese she was able to scrape off the top.

~ Zoey was almost a dead dog this morning. I went downstairs at 6:45 to make coffee before hopping on the computer to start my shift at 7. I was greeted with little drops of poop/diarrhea in EVERY ROOM DOWNSTAIRS! Yes, every room - the foyer, the kitchen, the dining room, the family room, the steps, and even the toy storage cabinet! Thank goodness Chris was still home! We worked together (he worked) to get it cleaned up before the kids went tromping through dog feces. Yum.

~Chris and I are re-watching Northern Exposure.  We are only on season one, but what an awesome series!

~ Delaney loves the “Nakey Dance.”  It’s this hip-swing jive that you can only do while naked.  It’s hilarious!  She rocks her hips from side to side and sings “Nakey dance nakey dance nakey dance!”

~ Delaney is repeating everything we say.  She says so many funny things these days that I just can’t remember them all.  She carries on these long conversations now, complete with lots of “Why’s.”  So a conversation with Delaney goes something like this:

Delaney: What’s that?

Me: It’s my laptop.

Delaney: Why?

Me: So I can finish my work.

Delaney: Why?

Me: So I can make some extra money to buy you things.

Delaney: Why?

Me: Because.

Delaney: Why?

So do you see a trend here?

~ OO..oo…MY CAR IS FIXED!  Hooray!

Damn, I can’t remember what else I was going to say…

The nakey dance! I bet Amy will love that one.

Ewwww @ Zoey. I can imagine your reaction.

Is there a chance you could allow Colin to play with them without letting Laney play??? Just a thought
