7 March Health Update
Colin is doing much much better! MUCH! He’s still on the antibiotic - another few days. But he’s handling it surprisingly well, thank goodness! He’s been drinking lots of water, too - good boy! So far my doc doesn’t think any scary tests are necessary, thank goodness! If he gets another infection, we will look into further tests. Whew!
Delaney has a little bit of something. She’s been sleeping well for a nap and seeming tired. She didn’t want to go to preschool yesterday, so she played hooky and stayed home to veg out. This morning she woke up with a little cough and a horse voice. And she has these probably unrelated bumps all over her face and hands. We think she came into contact with some kind of biting bug and it did her in! She has several on her face - maybe 6 - and about the same number on her hands. She has two bites on her back. At first I was quite concerned - they looked like chicken pox! But I really don’t know what they are.
Hands

Face

In this one you can see the welt over her eye - see how it is raised? She hasn’t bumped her head or anything - it’s just a bite.

Looks like chicken pox to me, too. It’s common to get just a few bumps the first day… wonder what tomorrow holds for her!

Wow, first thought was chicken pox, but then the bump makes me think more like a hive or angioedema, which would be more of an alergic reaction. hmmmm

Hahahahha… if it’s chicken pox, I’m going to die! I’ll be dead!
Bed bugs?

I thought it was chicken pox too when I saw it. In a few days you will know. Poor little girl.

Ouch! That looks painful. I’m not used to the pox appearing on the face and hands. Usually it’s on the torso/trunk area. Those hands look like she stuck them in something! Ouch, ouch, ouch!
