Florida, day 5 (continued)

To find out what we did in the morning on day 5, check out this post.

Ok, great - so now you know about the horror of Kennedy Space Center. I did take one photo which pretty much symbolizes the day:

After great naps yesterday, we decided to take the kids to the park up the street in the afternoon. It’s pretty cool here, but we knew they’d want to tromp through the water, so we packed up our water shoes. Delaney was SO EXCITED to go in the water! She was absolutely soaked by the time we left (we only stayed about 20-25 minutes). Colin was a little leery at first, but did get into the action just before we left. He barely got his feet wet, and as soon as the water seeped above the sole of his shoes, he would take a step. period. It was quite humorous!

After going back to the house (less than a mile away) and changing into dry clothes, we decided to take a drive to the beach-side. We happened upon a mini-golf place with an arcade and go-carts. We gave it a shot! Mini-golf with two children is…fun - it’s eventful! They did let Chris and I take a few shots ourselves. And they walked their balls to the holes about 16 times, each, as well. It was the fastest round of mini-golf Chris and I had ever played!

(Yes, Delaney is left handed, so Chris helped her putt like a leftie)

(Notice that Chris is helping Colin putt “rightie” - all thumbs are pointing toward him being right-handed.)

This place also had an arcade with a $0.25 carousel - a great deal and A LOT of fun! Delaney also had her very first ride in go-carts with Chris. She thought it was super! She’s the daredevil - the faster the better!

And this is what Colin and I did while Chris and Delaney were hitting the go-carts.
