Floating around in space
I’ve had several blog entries floating in and out of my noggin for several days now. Yes, we are back home - thank goodness! It took us a total of 12 hours to drive back to NC - a trip that shouldn’t have exceeded 9. The children did great! We did split it into two days, too.
And Zoey’s back. I picked her up Monday - she spent two weeks with the in-laws. My father-in-law told me “She might have picked up some bad habits” when I picked her up. Great.
Colin: he’s a talker! He and Delaney have these wonderful conversations. They always go something like this:
Delaney: Colin, do you want a cup?
Colin: Yaa.
Delaney: Colin, do you want to hold my sock?
Colin: Yaa.
Delaney: Colin can I sit on you?
Colin: Yaa.
Delaney: Colin, can I bang your head against the wall?
Colin: Yaa.
See the pattern here? I love to hear them talking - it’s SO cute! But Colin’s response to everything - EVERYTHING - is “Yaa.” But this doesn’t seem to hinder Delaney - she just continues the conversation, even if it is a bit one-sided.
That’s that for now. My allergies are killing me, and my head is swimming. And my eyes are watering. Ugh…I forgot that this is why I hate spring!

I love Colinese and Laney-speak!
Sometimes Mya and Abby have a ‘conversation’. One of them says “No!” and then the other says “Nnnno!” and it continues back and forth like that. Usually, they are one-sided, like yours. Mya will say “Look at all the cars! Abby, do you see all the cars?” And Abby, will be silently trying to eat the sticker off her shirt… so Mya continues with “I love cars!”
Oh, and Dude, there is totally a piece of pollen floating in my eye!
