Hurricane Shmurricane
We were supposed to have a hurricane - Hurricane Hanna to be exact. But Hurricane Hanna was really just Tropical Storm Hanna and all it brought us was a few inches of rain. Some surrounding areas boasted gusty winds up to 45mph and up to 7 inches of rain, but at our house it was breezy and we got less than 3 inches of rain. Oh well…
And you know that post-hurricane beautiful weather? Not so much… Usually after a hurricane it’s only moderately hot with a gentle breeze and bright blue skies. But today it’s almost still and VERY hot and even more humid!
Next we have Hurricane Ike. I want it to hurry up and move out of here! We are supposed to go to the beach next week for the whole week, and we had to cut our trip short because of Hurricane Olivia (or was that two years ago? Whenever it was…). But this year Chris is going with us and we have this nice three bedroom condo thanks to my parents, and WE ARE GOING! I just want the ocean to be as calm and beautiful as it was last weekend.

I’m glad Hanna wasn’t a big one so they won’t retire the name, and we can have ANOTHER Hanna in 6 years
My Hannah was excited that there was a storm named after her.

I know, right? I filled up the water jugs, and filled up the bathtub just in case. Now I feel like a loser for wasting water…

We had about the same as you did. Our Sunday was not as humid, but it sure was hot. We didn’t get enough rain to keep us in the house - we were stir crazy at like 8:00 so we ran errands all day long….
