About my kids (this is more like it)…
Delaney was born in November of 2004. Colin was born in June of 2006. They are two usually-pleasant (snort), normally energetic (ha!), huggable children. This blog is about them…mostly…sometimes…
Me? OK, me…
I’m married to a wonderful husband and paramount daddy, Chris. I am a work-at-home-mom; I work for our local news station’s community outreach program, as well as write a green blog called Shades of Green. I love to garden and have a veggie garden annually. I am a total lactivist and volunteer as a peer lactation counselor.
We are a mostly crunchy family. We hope that our children continue to cultivate a relationship with the grandparents, so we visit them as often as possible; family ties are important to us. We are starting a Spiral Scouts troop here in our local area to offer our children an alternative to the Scouts of America and their overly religious and oppressive overtones. I’m not judgmental…not one bit (ha!).
The rest of the crew:
Zoey is our mixed-breed, lead-with-her-nose, runs-away-alot pup. She was born in January of 2006.
Lola, Scarlett, Lucyandethel, Lariope, Caliope and the other brown one are our chickens. They were born in June of 2006.
Clifford and T-Bone are our leopard geckos, but I don’t have any entries about them (yet). They were born around May or June of 2008.
We also have a myriad of fish floating in our little outdoor water feature.
Bubba was our beloved cat who passed away last year. He was about 14 or 15 at best guess.
We had two anoles, but they didn’t make it.
